2017 Scott - E-Silence Model Range
The E-Silence range is split into 3, the E-Silence Speed 10/20, a fully rigid urban commuter, the E-Silence 10/20, almost identical bar having a rack and RockShox Paragon fork, and the E-Silence Evo, the top of the line model with Belt drive Nuvinci N330 hub gearing, Shimano XT Brakes and Supernova front & rear lights. The 10 and 20 models being split with upgrades to 11 speed XT over 10, and SLX brakes over non-range M365.
Although all models vary in spec, they all have the same main Silence features, specific rack and mudguards mean the bike keeps its neat appearance, Syncros adjustable stem (fixed on the Speed version) also looks the part with the front light seamlessly built in, combining this with either a rear light built into the seat post (Speed/Evo models) or rack. Also, where the seat tube and seat stays meet, there is a neat option of fitting a ABUS Bordo lock onto the frame. And last but not least, unlike many other E-Bikes around at the moment, the E-Silence range comes with a bottle cage mount.
The Brose E-Bike System
The Brose motor system is best know for its ability to be integrated full into the bike, the motor itself is very versatile and can be rotated to fit each style of bike frame. The battery the fits directly into the down tube, hiding all signs of the system being there. On the E-Silence you get a small LCD display on the bars with all the info you need. The Brose battery houses 508wh of use and the motor puts out 250w of power as per EU guidelines so your likely to get range on par with Bosch, Yamaha and Shimano systems. The Brose motor is also currently the quietest on the market, making it a perfect combo in the E-Silence.
